Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of enterprise-level or “other” improvement projects, with a focus on reducing waste on the factory floor
  • Perform time studies and complete value stream maps
  • Try-storm solutions to reduce waste
  • Conduct SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) studies as applicable, and implement solutions to minimize downtime
  • Perform flow analysis and implement optimal flows in manufacturing workcenters
  • Individually complete Lean projects on the factory floor with a focus on delivering monetary benefit to the company
  • Assist clients with project identification, selection and prioritization
  • Assist with data analysis, conclusions and presentations related to project completion and findings
  • Provide coaching to client resources to facilitate completion of projects
  • Provide coaching for executive leadership and in the use of improvement tools and methodology
  • Train and coach project sponsors to drive project execution
  • Conduct classroom basic Lean instruction to floor personnel

Requirements/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in a Lean Black Belt or other factory process improvement role
  • Experience developing a Lean Six Sigma program
  • Demonstrated monetary results by implementing Lean methodologies

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (Bachelor preferred) in a related field required
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred
